Heidi Weinberg
Heidi is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach who has been training older adults for 8 years. She spent 5 1/2 years at the YMCA, during which time she traveled to Columbus to get certified in OhioHealth Delay the DiseaseTM Certified. After completing that certification, Heidi’s client load was over 85% people with Parkinson’s Disease. She taught OhioHealth Delay the DiseaseTM Certified classes at the Eden Prairie Community Center and the YMCA in addition to her one on one clients. Her involvement in the PD community led to her be named a Wellness Partner with the Parkinson’s Foundation Minnesota (one of only 6 in the Twin Cities to be endorsed). In order to further her technique, Heidi spent time in Columbus observing OhioHealth Delay the DiseaseTM classes and learning additional programming skills from David and Jackie.
Upon leaving the YMCA, Heidi started her own business, Live2Thrive and expanded her knowledge into other, related older adult areas including Functional Aging and Brain Health. She completed a mentorship with Robert Linkul, creator of Training the Older Adult and internationally known presenter.
Heidi has a special interest in empowering middle aged and older adults to live their best lives and stay independent. Enhancing mobility, strength and overall quality of life, she gives you the tools and motivation to stay active despite any limitations. Heidi believes strength translates to resilience for whatever life throws at you! Heidi has special expertise in Parkinson’s Disease and other aging issues.
